Dashboards are a new module, which enables users to group together pieces of information in a panel-like view.
Dashboards can be set as a homepage, allowing users to view an immediate update about important information.
Users can create multiple Dashboards, and Dashboards that are private, i.e., only viewed by the user.
What is a widget?
A widget is a small application that users can use to populate and display their data.
The current widgets available on your Dashboards include:
- A List widget, which can be populated with data sets.
- Calculation widget which allows you to easily keep track of:
- Workload Management: View a count of pending approvals or projects tasks awaiting your action.
- Track Progress & Spend: Track the progress of project tasks or of your budget spending.
- Review Expiring Assets: Keep on top of your usage rights by monitoring assets that will be expiring soon or already have.
- Grid Matrix widget which allows you to feature a risk matrix heatmap. You can instantly visualise the risk profile of your company in a customisable view, using data from your Databases or Surveys.

How do I create a Dashboard?
To enable Dashboards on your platform, go to Admin > Templates, click on Dashboards and enable the Visible checkbox.
Once activated, on opening the Dashboards page you will see a prompt to Add a New Dashboard. From there, you can simply Add the Name, decide if it should be Private & set any Permissions if you want to restrict access.
Are Dashboards private?
When creating a Dashboard, you can choose to make a Dashboard Private. If you do so, no permissions will apply to the Dashboard, as you have created it, so you will be the only one to see it.
What are the permissions on Dashboards?
Permissions on Dashboards are restricted to View & Edit.
Those with View permissions can View the Dashboard but not make any changes to widgets.
Users with Edit permission can Edit Dashboard settings and Add, Edit or Delete Widgets. Changes apply to all users that have access to that Dashboard.
How do I give permissions on Dashboards?
When you create a Dashboard, you can allocate permissions in the Permissions tab.
This can be done for any Group that has access to the Dashboard.
How do I create a widget?
To create an items list widget, click Add Widget on the Dashboard.
Select either the Item list widget, Calculation widget or the Grid Matrix widget and click these links for further instructions on how to build your widgets.
How do I re-order widgets?
To reorder widgets, click the move icon:
Then, drag the widget to the required location.
You can also expand the width of the widget, by clicking the icon on the bottom right corner.

How to enable dashboards on your platform?
The Dashboard menu item will be marked as Not Visible by default under Admin > Templates > Navigation Bar
To enable Dashboards, simply switch to Visible and it will appear on the navigation menu. You can then give access to users under Admin > Groups.
Can I set a Dashboard as a landing page?
You can do so via Admin > Templates > Navigation Bar and clicking 'Make it a Homepage'.
Note however this will make this a homepage for all relevant users. Those who do not have access to this module will instead be directed to 'My Account' section of the platform. You can also set up different homepages for different Divisions of users as per normal functionality.
Can I set a Default Dashboard?
Each user is able to set their own default dashboard that will automatically opened when they enter the Dashboard module. You can see a guide of how to set your default here.
