If the filename on your platform does not match that from your Desktop where you have uploaded the image from, it may be because there is metadata "title" information within the image that has a different name than that on your Desktop.
When uploading images the default for the platform is to grab any metadata [title]
With single files, if you want your image files to retain the names you have given them on your Desktop, rather than update to the metadata title, then when uploading you can simply change the default text in the name field to what you are after.
When uploading in bulk, change the default [title] to [filename] - this will then grab the file's name on your computer rather than the metadata title.
