Resources

Select Field Permissions

For those requiring more granular access on Resources, the Select Field Permissions feature enables Filter Level Permissions, in addition to folder level permissions. This means that you can restrict a Group's visibility to only view and utilise Resources that are tagged with specific Filter values. 

This feature is linked to the Filters set in the Admin section and will only apply to the Resources module.

Amongst the many use cases this supports, you can use this feature to:

• Restrict Resources by Market: only people in the US Team can see US Related documents.
• Restrict based on Confidentiality: if you tag a file as Confidential then only the Management Team can view it. 
• Restrict based on Committee: only certain Committees should see specific Board Documents. 
• Restrict based on Contract: if contracts or image rights have now expired, update and restrict those files to Management only. 
• Restrict based on Brand or Product: only users who need to view information specific to that Brand or Product will be able to view it. 
• Restrict based on Availability: Agency users might only have permission to view Resources tagged with their Agency name. Or if you have other External Groups, they might only be able to view Resources tagged with 'Publicly Available'. 

Essentially any Filter available on Resources can be used for this functionality. It also means that you can have all your Resources in one Folder and base permissions from the Filter values, rather than on a Folder by Folder basis.
