Watermarks can be configured under Admin > Templates in the Watermark section. Here, you can set the following options:
- Watermark Logo: Upload a logo file to be used as the watermark.
- Watermark Text: Input custom text to appear as a watermark.
- Watermark Lines: Add lines to the watermark for additional security.
- Watermark Opacity Level (15-99%): Set the opacity level for the watermark (e.g., 50%).
- User Details Watermark Opacity Level (15-99%): Adjust the opacity level specifically for watermarks that include user details (e.g., 80%).
Watermark Options in General Settings
Within Admin > General Settings, there is a Watermark Options setting, which determines the types of watermarks that can be applied:
- Both: Allows both image-based and user detail watermarks.
- Image: Only image-based watermarks are used.
- User Details: Only user detail-based watermarks are used.
- None: Disables watermarking.
Folder-Level Watermark Settings
When creating a folder, users can configure the Force Watermark option, which includes three settings:
- Force Display: Always shows a watermark on resources within the folder.
- Force Hide: Always hides watermarks, regardless of the file's origin (e.g., aliases).
- Resource Level: Displays a watermark only if the resource or its source alias has one.
Watermarking Behavior by File Type
Based on the above configurations, here is how watermarking is applied to different file types:
- Document and Image Files: Watermarked during Preview.
- Video Files: Not watermarked during Preview.
- Image Files: Not watermarked when Downloaded.
- PDF Files: Only PDF files are watermarked during Download.
