NOTE - following a code update in December 2019, the option to "Enable crop marks" when downloading a job has been discontinued and replaced with a dropdown list of PDF Presets available in your Web-2-Print admin account. In order to re-enable a download option which includes crop marks, follow the steps below.
When exporting a Custom Job to PDF, users can select from a list of PDF Presets available.
The default option is Interactive, which is better suited for digital use.
Other default system options are:
- High Quality Print
- PDFX1a 2001
- PDFX3 2002
- PDFX4 2008
- Press Quality
- Smallest File Size
You can view a definition of each preset here.
To add new Preset options, go to you W2P Admin portal, located at: https://admin.santacruzsoftware.com
Login with your PrintUI credentials as provided by your Customer Success Manager. These are the same credentials used to upload templates from InDesign and are NOT your IntelligenceBank credentials.
Then go to Settings > PDF Presets- you will see the list of System Presets and have an option to Upload your own. Once uploaded, the Preset will come up as an option for users when exporting a custom job to PDF.
Note that PDF Presets are created directly in InDesign. To learn more about InDesign's PDF Presets, you can review Adobe's documentation here.
To use the PrintUI's default Print preset which includes crop marks by default as per prior to the update, download the "PrintUIdefault.joboptions" file attached to this article and upload it to the Presets list.
To use a version of the High Quality Print preset which includes crop marks by default, download the "High Quality Print With Crop Marks.joboptions" file attached to this article and upload it to the Presets list.
NOTE:
- Default System Presets cannot be removed at this time.
