Why can't I edit rules directly in the dashboard?
- Compliance rules involve logic that, if changed incorrectly, could affect how your content is reviewed or create unintended compliance gaps. To keep your rules accurate and stable, all changes are managed by the IntelligenceBank rules team. You can submit a change request on any rule directly from the dashboard — the form pre-fills the key rule details automatically, so the team has everything they need to action your request straight away.
When I filter by a Risk Category value, why do I see rules I didn't expect?
- Each rule is configured with specific Risk Category values that control when it applies — for example, a particular channel or market. However, some rules are configured to apply to Any value for a given category, meaning they are relevant regardless of what is selected. When you filter by a Risk Category value, the table will show rules that either match that specific value or are set to apply to any value in that category. This is expected behaviour — an "Any" rule applies broadly, so it will always appear as relevant when you filter.
What's the difference between "Request Change" and "Request General Changes"?
- Request Change is for changes to a specific existing rule. Clicking it on a rule pre-fills the form with that rule's ID, name, description, and risk type - so your request goes to the right place with the right context.
- Request General Changes is for everything else - requesting a new rule, removing a rule, or making changes that span multiple rules. Use this option when your request isn't tied to a single rule in the table.
What happens after I submit a change request?
- Your request is sent directly to the IntelligenceBank rules team. They will review it and follow up with you. For urgent requests, you can also reach out to your account team directly or contact support@intelligencebank.com.
Some rules show less detail than others in the detail panel - why is that?
- Different rules are built in different ways, and not every rule uses every component. For example, a rule that checks for the presence of specific terms will have a Trigger Term List, but may not have any Disclaimers. A rule that requires a disclaimer when certain conditions are met will show disclaimer text, but may have no Proximity or Exception terms. If a section in the detail panel is empty, it simply means that component is not part of how that particular rule works - it is not missing information.
What is the Feedback field in the rule detail panel?
- The Feedback field shows the message that is displayed to a reviewer inside IntelligenceBank when this rule fires on their content. It is the guidance they see at the point of review, explaining what was flagged and why. Viewing this in the rules dashboard gives you full visibility into the reviewer experience and helps you understand how a rule communicates to your team when it activates.
