What Is This Integration?
The IntelligenceBank Content Risk Reviews connector for Workato lets you embed automated compliance reviews directly into your business workflows. When a file enters your pipeline — whether from an email attachment, a cloud storage upload, or a CRM event — Workato can automatically send it to IntelligenceBank for a full risk review and return the results to any downstream system.
Key Capabilities
- Submit File Risk Review — Upload a file (via URL or binary content), assign categorisation filters, and receive a comprehensive compliance review.
- Automatic Polling — The connector polls IntelligenceBank every 60 seconds (up to 30 minutes) until the review completes. No extra steps required.
- Detailed Results — Returns triggered rule counts, individual rule findings with page numbers, explanations, and a download URL for the reviewed file.
- Dynamic Categorisation — Filter options are pulled from your IntelligenceBank instance at design time, so your categories are always up to date.
Prerequisites
- An active IntelligenceBank account with Content Risk Reviews and API access enabled.
- A Workato workspace (any plan that supports custom connectors).
- A dedicated IntelligenceBank service account (username & password) for the connection.
- Your IntelligenceBank instance URL (e.g.,
https://apius.intelligencebank.com) and platform URL (e.g.,mycompany.intelligencebank.com).
Configuration Guide
Step 1 — Install the Connector

Step 2 — Authenticate
Fill in the following connection fields:

Click Connect. Workato will authenticate against the IntelligenceBank V2 Login API and establish a session. The connection is valid as long as the session remains active — it will automatically refresh if it expires.

When using binary content, also provide a File name so IntelligenceBank can identify the file type. |
| 5Set categorisation | Optional. The action dynamically loads your IntelligenceBank filter categories. Select values from the available dropdowns to tag the review. You can also add custom categories by providing a category name and comma-separated options. |

Output Reference
The following fields are returned when the review completes:

Troubleshooting
| Review timed out | If a review does not complete within ~30 minutes, the action will return a timeout error. This may happen with very large files. Check the file in IntelligenceBank directly and consider splitting large documents. |
| Authentication errors | A 401 error typically means the session has expired. Workato handles this automatically by re-authenticating. If the error persists, verify your credentials in the connection settings. |
| Missing filters | If no categorisation filter dropdowns appear in the action configuration, ensure your IntelligenceBank instance has Content Risk Review filters configured and that the service account has permission to access them. |
