AI tools are now part of everyday content creation. Adding two simple metadata fields lets you track which assets in your library were made or altered by AI, and which tool did it.
Table of Contents
What the fields do
AI Generated: Marks whether an asset, or any part of it, was created or synthetically altered by AI.
Tool Name: Records which AI model or service was used — e.g. OpenAI DALL-E 3, Adobe Firefly, Microsoft Cognitive Services — so your team tags consistently and can filter or report on tool usage across your library.
Why it matters
Disclosure of AI-generated content is quickly becoming standard practice. The EU AI Act's Article 50 transparency rules require certain AI-generated or manipulated content to be disclosed, and similar expectations are emerging in other markets and on social/ad platforms.
Check with your legal or compliance team on what applies to you — these fields give you the auditable record to respond quickly whenever a disclosure requirement kicks in.
How to use them
- Ask your account admin or IntelligenceBank Customer Success Manager to add the fields to your metadata schema if you don't see them yet.
- Tag assets at upload, not after - build this practice into your standard Upload form alongside usage rights and alt text.
- Use Source/Tool Name to report on which tools your team relies on, and flag anything that may need extra review.
- Backfill active campaigns and frequently reused assets first, rather than your whole historical library at once.
