IntelligenceBank Connector for Canva

About

The Intelligencebank Connector (or "app") for Canva makes it easy for designers to search, browse and insert approved image, video or audio assets from IntelligenceBank into their designs, and publish those designs back to IntelligenceBank, directly from within Canva.

Installation

Under Apps, search for "intelligencebank" and click on the IntelligenceBank app that comes up as the result to install it.

The app will then display as a new option in the left side panel of your Design. Note that Apps in Canva must be added again against each Design where you would like to use it.

How to use

Login

• Click on 'Connect' to get started with the IntelligenceBank login process.

• Enter your IntelligenceBank platform URL (without https://). If you have custom URL that starts with www., make sure to include it.

• If the URL entered is valid, your platform login page will load within the popup. If you are already authenticated to your IntelligenceBank platform, you will immediately see a success message as per the screenshot a few steps below. In this case, click on 'Continue back to Canva' to complete the process.

• Scroll down as needed to see the login area, and login as you would normally (username/password or Single Sign On).

• Once you see the message that you are successfully authenticated to IntelligenceBank via the browser, click on 'Continue back to Canva' to complete the process.

Browse Folders

• Folders you have a minimum of Access permission on will appear as per when accessing IntelligenceBank directly from the web. Click on a Folder to see its content.

• Click on '...' to navigate back to the Parent Folder.

Search Assets

• You can search for Assets by keywords. As per the platform, it will match results in Title, Description, Keyword Tags, AI Tags and embedded Metadata. Select Fields and Filters however are not supported for keyword matches.

• You can also Filter results by Tags or File Type.

• Future: support for additional Filters, including custom ones.

Insert Assets

Supported Image and Video file formats and sizes for insertion into your designs, and upload into the Canva library, is as per the Canva documentation.

To insert an Asset, simply click on it.

Upload to IntelligenceBank

• To upload a final design to IntelligenceBank, click on the Save to IntelligenceBank button at the bottom of your page. It will only be enabled for Folders that you have at least Publish Permission on.

• Canva export options will appear. Once you have made your selection, click 'Export' to initiate the Upload.

• A shortcut will become available upon upload to easily Edit the new Resource in IntelligenceBank.

• Note that if a mandatory Publish Approval is enabled on the Destination Folder, the Export will return an error indicating so.

Share & Download (Native Options)

You can also use the Share options natively available in Canva to share or download your Creative as per normal.
