About Social Media & Ad Risk Reviews

Social Media & Ad Risk Scanning automatically detects compliance risks in the public posts and ads your brand publishes to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, and delivers findings straight into Smart Reports.

Why this matters

Manually reviewing every social post and ad for compliance is slow, easy to get wrong, and doesn't scale as your social presence grows across partners, brand ambassadors, and dealerships. Risks embedded in an image, a caption, or a call-to-action button are just as easy to miss as they are to review by eye, and by the time a manual check catches something, it's often already been live and visible for days.

Key Capabilities

  • Multi-channel coverage: Scans public posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and public ads via Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Text and image analysis: Reviews post and ad copy and text embedded within images (via Optical Character Recognition) against your compliance rules. For Google Ads and Meta Ads specifically, call-to-action button text is also reviewed as its own labelled item.
  • Automated, continuous monitoring: Runs on a schedule with no manual review required, catching issues like outdated pricing or expired offers as they appear.
  • Full-footprint visibility: Captures content published through IntelligenceBank as well as content posted directly by partners, brand ambassadors, or subsidiaries.
  • Unified reporting: Delivers every finding into your Smart Reports dashboard alongside your other compliance results.

How Each Channel Is Scanned

  • Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn: the service captures public posts from your managed accounts and analyzes the post text and any text within the post image.
  • Google Ads: the service scans the Google Ads Transparency Center, tracking the actual ad creative, messaging, and visual assets your brand shows to the public, including the call-to-action button text. It does not reveal back-end campaign types (such as Performance Max, Search, or Display), targeting settings, or budget configurations.
  • Meta Ads: the service scans the public Meta Ad Library. This covers ads shown across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, WhatsApp and Audience Network. It captures the ad copy, headline, call-to-action button text (e.g. "Shop Now," "Apply Now"), and images for ads your brand has published there. Video ad content is not scanned.

A note on Meta's automated ad formats

For Meta's automated multi-image ad formats (such as Advantage+), you may see duplicate risks for the same ad copy and call-to-action appearing in your report for a single ad. This simply reflects how Meta structures its own Ad Library data, it does not mean there are multiple separate risks.

Note: all results from Social Media & Ad Risk Scanning are viewed and managed within a Smart Reports dashboard. See our About Smart Reports guide for details on navigating the dashboard, filtering results, and reviewing risk details.
