This article is for reviewers. It explains how to find posts and ads in the Social & Ad Risk Reviews database, read the risk summary, move between the images and videos of a post, and use the Metadata panel.
Table of Contents
Finding records to review
- Open the Social & Ad Risk Reviews database. It is always shown as a list.
- Each record is one post or ad. Its record fields show where it came from, such as Account, Live Post Link, Date Posted and Body Copy.
- Open a record, then open one of its files (an image or a video) to see the findings on it.
You cannot add records to this database yourself. IntelligenceBank adds them when posts and ads are collected.
Reading the Total Risk Count
If your administrator has set the database's Featured Field to Total Risk Count, each row shows the findings across all files of that record:
- Four coloured counts, in this order: High, Medium, Low and Advisory. Hover over a count to see its meaning, for example "4 High Risks to Address".
- A separate count of dismissed risks. Dismissed risks are not included in the four counts.
- A count above 99 is shown as 99+.
- If findings exist but none has a severity, a single total is shown instead of the four counts.
When a record has no risks to show, the column is empty. It can also mean the review has not finished yet.
Moving between files
A post or ad with several images or videos is one record with several files. With a file open, use the previous and next arrows in the viewer header to move through them without returning to the list. The counter shows your position, for example 2 / 5.
- The control only appears when the record has two or more files.
- It does not wrap around. At the first file the previous arrow does nothing, and at the last file the next arrow does nothing, so you know when you have seen them all.
- The findings and comments shown update to the file you move to.
The Metadata panel
Under the creative, the Metadata panel shows the details of the post or ad that were published with it, such as body copy, account, link, headline and call to action. The fields shown depend on the platform.
- Click the Metadata heading to collapse or expand the panel. You can also drag the divider between the creative and the panel to resize it.
- When a finding was raised on text, select it and the matching field is highlighted and scrolled into view, with the matched words marked, so you can see what the rule picked up. You can also click a highlighted field to select its finding.
- A value that is a web address opens in a new tab.
- The post link is labelled Link. It is a link to this content on its original platform and may no longer be available if the content has been removed.
- If a post has no details, the panel says "No metadata for this item."
Videos: Transcription and Metadata
For a video file, the bottom panel can show either the Transcription or the Metadata. A small tab strip on the left of the panel has one button for each. Select a button to switch. The strip only appears when the file has both. An image has no transcript, so its Metadata panel fills the space with no tabs.
Video is reviewed on Meta Ads and Instagram, for clients who have Audio & Video Risk Reviews. Facebook posts are reviewed with video as a still image, and LinkedIn video is reviewed as text only.
Acting on findings
- Dismiss a finding that does not apply, giving a reason as you do for any other Risk Review. Dismissed findings move out of the severity counts and into the dismissed count.
- You cannot edit the post or ad in IntelligenceBank. The content lives on the social platform. Record your outcome in the review and follow your usual process to change or remove the content. Use the Link value to open the original.
Common questions
| A record has no findings yet | A record can be a few minutes behind while its files and details are attached and the review runs. There is no guaranteed review time. If no findings appear, contact IntelligenceBank Support. |
| Why is a field in the Metadata panel empty? | The platform did not return that value for the post or ad. The rest of the record is not affected. |
| Why can I not open the database settings? | Only a main administrator or a Databases module administrator can open the settings of this database. |
| Why is only the image reviewed and not the post text? | A rule only reads the post details if it has been set up to. Ask your IntelligenceBank contact. |
