About Asset Permissions

This article outlines the specific permission levels that apply within the Asset Library.

Assets are organised within folder structures in the IntelligenceBank platform. Permissions to assets are granted on a folder level.

There are 4 different levels of permissions within a folder:

Preview - users with this permission on a folder can only preview the information online and/or request approval to download assets, if this functionality is enabled on the folder.
- Note that the Download Comp functionality is still available for Preview users. You can read more about that here.
Access - users with this permission on a folder can access and download all assets present in the folder.
Publish - users with this permission on a folder can do anything that Access permission can, plus Add, Delete*, Edit, and Move assets within that folder.
Admin - users with this permission on a folder can do anything that Publish permissions can, plus manage folder settings and create sub-folders.

Note: Main Admins can restrict Delete permission so that users with Publish permission cannot delete assets. To learn more about Asset Delete Permission, please reference the article here.

Users with Admin Access on the Asset Library Module can access all assets independently of individual folder level permissions.

Note: The name given to tools, features and information items may vary in your platform as they can be customized by Main Admin users.
